What are skin boosters? How long do they last?

The best way to describe skin boosters is as an injectable moisturiser. They help to heal the skin from within, helping to tighten and rejuvenate. They contain hyaluronic acid which is incredibly moisturising and nourishing. Profhilo is one of the most popular and effective skin boosters on the market, and my favourite by far. For most people, is a course of 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart that requires maintenance every 6 months. However, for some people 3 initial treatments at 4-week intervals has an enhanced effect, with maintenance required every 4 months.

What happens at your appointment?

At your appointment, we will start with a full consultation to ensure that skin boosters are the best thing for you. I will also administer numbing cream if required. I will talk you through what to expect as well as full aftercare, which I will also send to you.

Once the treatment begins, it is usually 5 injections on each side of the face. Occasionally they have a small sting but aren’t painful as such. The treatment is complete after a few minutes.
